As an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a secure and healthy workplace environment, preventing workplace injuries and reducing health risks. Operating under broad supervision, your responsibilities encompass overseeing various facets of environmental health and safety programs within the facility. This entails conducting thorough facility inspections, accident investigations, and safety training sessions.

In this role, you will meticulously gather and analyze data pertaining to diverse work environments and processes, diligently identifying emerging trends that warrant attention and remedial action. Your proactive approach will be instrumental in safeguarding the well-being of personnel and mitigating potential risks.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do
  • Oversee workers compensation claims and provide follow through for resolution
  • Submit workers compensation claims and communicate with employees and outside vendors
  • Inspect, test, and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure that safety standards and government regulations are followed
  • Submit liability claims and coordinate with claim adjuster on further actions and resolution
  • Manage OSHA log and incident reports
  • Prepare required reports related to safety matters
  • Prepare written reports on findings through safety audits
  • Educate supervisors and workers about workplace safety by preparing and providing training programs and resources
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root cause and how further incidents may be prevented
  • Provide excellent customer service by being attentive, respectful and professional
  • Ensure understanding of customer request and follows-through as promised; while being proactive in identifying and addressing member concerns or grievances
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional personal appearance and observe the dress code established by the Company or the member facility
  • Accept new assignments willingly to meet business and operational needs

Skills & Qualifications

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety or related field(s) preferred
  • 1-2 years prior health care experience required
  • Ability to travel at least 25-30% of the time (Expect overnight travel accommodations to occur and to travel to high safety need locations).
  • Proficient knowledge of HIPPA and workplace confidentiality required
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy required
  • Excellent active listening, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of office equipment such as desktops, laptops, and telephones

Your Pay and Benefits
  • Starting salary of $60,000-$65,000 (salary dependent upon experience)  
  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • 28 days of PTO (20 days of paid time off, 7 paid holidays, 1 paid flex holiday)
