Referral Support Specialist

You are mission-orientated and passionate about helping children and their families touched by Autism. As a Referral Specialist, you are responsible for collecting information, medical insurance, etc. to help our families maintain coverage for services. You will directly impact all aspects of this growing business and its 5,000 employees in twelve states!  

Role Overview  

  • Initiate calls to new referrals in a timely manner 
  • Pre-qualifies referrals before moving on to Client Advocate 
  • Performing benefit checks for newly referred patients 
  • Responsible for data entry for new referrals 
  • Contact physician and insurance offices via fax and/or phone as needed

Profile of an Ideal Candidate 

  • Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior customer service representative, authorization specialist, patient services representative, and insurance verification specialist experience preferred
  • Experience in medical billing or insurance authorization preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and previous healthcare experience is a plus 
  • Must be comfortable with daily commute to Home Office on the Northwest side of Indianapolis
