As a Senior Insurance Denial Specialist, you will investigate insurance denials, utilize complex problem-solving and keen analytical skills to evaluate net steps to bring aged account receivables to resolution for behavioral health and medical services provided. You will be an integral part of our Revenue Cycle team, directly impacting the entire organization by ensuring goals are met and assigned receivables are addressed appropriately. 

What You'll Do 

  • Effectively manage assigned insurance receivables 
  • Perform account research and complete timely follow-ups on assigned account 
  • Clearly document all attempts made and received for account resolution 
  • Strive to exceed monthly cash goals by ensuring accounts are resolved within a timely manner 
  • Help identify issues from denials and appeals that might be avoided on future claims  
  • Maintain working knowledge of all payer guidelines and requirements as they relate to denials and appeals  
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource for team members 
  • Provide mentorship and guidance for Insurance Denial Specialists 

What You’ll Need 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • At least 2 years of experience in insurance denials required 
  • Knowledge of insurance guidelines, specifically commercials and Medicaid, across states preferred  
  • Ability to multitask effectively and respond to changing deadlines and priorities  
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as a desktop, laptop, 10-key, and phone  
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel

Your Pay and Benefits 

  • Starting rate of $23.00-$25.00 per hour (based on experience) 
  • Monday through Friday schedule 
  • 19 days of PTO (11 days of paid time off, 7 paid holidays, 1 paid flex holiday)
